Our vision and values

We strive to provide educational excellence through quality teaching and learning that stimulates curiosity. Our vision is to develop literate, numerate and curious learners who are empowered and ready for each stage of their learning. We seek to instil personal and collective responsibility via our school values of:

  • Respect: Caring about other people, and treating others the way you would like to be treated. It includes integrity, consideration and honesty (wellbeing value).

  • Inclusion: Providing a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where all students have a sense of belonging. It includes kindness and acceptance (wellbeing value)
  • Curiosity: Providing a stimulating learning environment where students have a sense of wonder and an openness to learning. It aligns to our school motto of creating happy, curious and confident learners, and has ties to our STAR and inquiry programs (learning value).
  • Excellence (Doing your best): Doing and being YOUR best (as opposed to being THE best). It is about personal achievement and putting in effort for pesonal reward (learning value).

Our students are encouraged in a warm and friendly environment, to grow and become active and responsible members of the community. We promote and encourage the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of all children.

We have high expectations for ourselves and our students. Through a safe and orderly environment, we are committed to developing happy and confident learners who aspire to do their best. English (reading and writing) and mathematics are at the core of our school’s teaching and learning program.

Our approaches to teaching and learning enable us to tailor programs to how your child learns best. By providing a differentiated curriculum our teachers cater learning tasks to suit individual needs, allowing all children to achieve and progress.

We see education as a joint partnership between home and the school. By working together, we can give your child the best opportunity to flourish. We welcome and encourage you to ask about your child's progress, and we can provide suggestions about how you can help your child at home.
